Etp Contracting

After submitting a request for educational support, the training contract application will be developed for approval. You can start the training as soon as your training contract has been approved by ETP. In general, this whole process takes two months. For more information about the contracting process, see Getting Started. Performance-based contracting contributes to success. A company can only earn FTE funds after an apprentice has completed all of the training and remains in a job with the skills acquired in the training for a minimum period of time (usually 90 days) at a required salary. Other performance requirements ensure that each stakeholder – the company, employee, and FTE – shares responsibility for increasing the number of high-paying, high-skilled jobs in California. ETP`s goal is to make your contract experience as simple and successful as possible. FTE staff are available throughout the contracting process. We provide you with technical support to complete your financing application, develop your training contract and monitor your contract throughout its duration. For more information, please contact an FTE regional office in your area. Your company can earn all the training allowances specified for the contract if it performs all the training and keeps the trainees at the required salary for the entire commitment period. ETP has found that training projects are more successful when a company engages in training and offers its own training and contract management.

FTE training contracts are performance-based. A company earns money after an intern has completed the training, a commitment period of at least 90 days (interns must be employed at least 35 hours per week?). To offset training costs, your company may receive “progressive payments” as an apprentice progresses through training – instead of a full refund after training or retention. The benchmarks and the amount of benefits paid are specified in the training contract. Founded in 1982, the Employment Training Panel (ETP) has proven itself for more than 30 years as the state`s leading program to support job creation and maintenance through training. The FTE is funded by a special tax for California employers and is different from other workforce development organizations that focus on pre-employment training. FTE fulfills its mission by reimbursing the cost of employer-centred training for established workers and funding the type of training that the unemployed need to re-enter the labour market. Overall, the FTE program helps ensure California businesses have the skilled workers they need to stay competitive. A.) ETP allows 100% class/laboratory and e-learning. For more information, see Training Methods. Online learning are instructor-led sessions via webinars that are reimbursed at the class/lab rate, which can also be the advanced technology plan.

However, CBT (non-instructor-led training) is limited to a certain percentage of the trainee`s total number of hours of training and is reimbursed at $8 per hour, as the training is self-paced without an instructor. ETP also allows Productive Lab (PL) training within certain limits. Productive laboratory training is practical instruction or the acquisition of skills under the constant and direct guidance of a qualified trainer. For more information, see the Productive Lab Summary Guidelines. The committee uses an application process for those seeking funding. The first step in the process is to complete an orientation. For your convenience, you can now complete the online orientation by going to www.etp.ca.gov. The purpose of the orientation is to help potential applicants determine if they are eligible to apply for funding, learn about the key requirements of the program, and learn how to apply for funding by clicking Get Started. Yes. If circumstances arise, etp employees will work with you to review your training contract if necessary. Yes, supervisors and managers can be trained with front-line employees as long as they do not exceed 40% of the total trainee population for a single employer contract or a multiple employer contract. The Committee may, at its sole discretion, set the limit for trainee supervisors/managers under a specific training contract in the range of 20 to 40 per cent. Supervisors and managers are employees who are exempt from paying overtime pay, in accordance with the determination of exemption status included in the definition of “front-line worker” in our Regulation Title 22, CCR 4400(ee). This restriction can be lifted for small enterprises with 100 employees or less and does not apply to entrepreneurial training. Under the funding of special vocational training (SET), only front-line workers can be included in the training plan, so that the managers and supervisors defined above are limited. Investments in training help companies become more profitable, so companies are encouraged to share this profit with workers involved in training. FTE contracts encourage wage increases and require employers to retain trained workers for certain periods of time to earn FTE funds. .
