Residents receive reminders by email informing them that they must enter into a colocation agreement at the beginning of the year. The form is fully customizable and allows HRL staff to provide students with prompts to discuss important topics. Once the agreement is finalized, each resident submits an electronic signature and the RA will be notified. If changes are needed, residents simply log in to the system and update the agreement. In July 2018, Residence Life set up a third-party digital education system called Roompact. This system is intended to serve as a “hub” for information for resident consultants (RAs) and professional staff. Several processes have been streamlined and are now managed by a central system. With the support of this software, these processes include colocation agreements, intentional tracking of student-in-residence interactions, service logs, lockouts, program suggestions and evaluations, and room condition reports. Consistent communication is helpful so that you and your roommate can solve problems together. If you don`t share what frustrates you, your roommate may not even know there`s a problem! If you fix problems in time, don`t let them become something bigger.
The group roommate pin is a 2-8 digit pin that is part of your profile. You will use it with your university ID to be drawn in a group. Yes! Your roommates` group PIN is the secret password you give someone with your university ID so they can drag you into a room with them. If at some point (before you get attracted) you decide you don`t want them to attract you anymore, just change the pin of your group of roommates. […] Whether you`re old friends or new together, signing a roommate agreement is the first step to starting a successful roommate relationship. It`s a way to create expectations of each other before problems arise. The colocation agreement will help you navigate through simple disagreements. Be specific with the form and talk to each other throughout the filling process. It may seem a little uncomfortable at first, but it`s really a great base for the year and a great way to get to know each other. We ask everyone to create a group pin of roommates in case you later decide to be drawn into a group. If you do not intend to be drawn into a group, simply enter random numbers so that you can continue the contract renewal request.

In the past, residents would fill out a paper copy of their colocation agreement and give a copy to their RA. If changes were to be made, the RA should return the agreement to the residents who would make the changes and then return the form to the RA. UNC Greensboro now offers a mechanism (mediaconnect.uncg.edu) to connect certain game consoles and Internet TVs to the wireless network in dormitories.
If you have a vacancy in a room, suite or apartment and you have a potential roommate that you would like to apply to fill that room, sign up with Artemis and ask for a new roommate.
